We are developing a hybrid low carbon emission technology where solar powered compressor and underground heat-sink will be used to establish an off-grid cooling system. Temperature of the underground (about 10-15metre below the surface) is almost independent of seasonal temperature variation. In the summer, the heat-pumps use the external air environment to throw away the latent heat for condensation of cooling fluid. Typical air temperature in the summer (especially in central and north India) is about 35-40 degree Celsius. Use of under- ground heat-sink, where temperature is about 20 degree Celsius, will allow the major efficiency gain in the condensation part of the cooling system.
The current practices in central and northern India is mainly focused on either using full electric grid or partial solar energy for air conditioning. The use of solar and geo-cooling have the potential to completely off-grid the cooling system and that will be an attractive proposals for modern buildings and cold storages.
We focus to combine the solar compressor and geo-condensation for efficient cooling system. Further we plan to deliver computational solution to energy optimisation. The focus of optimisation is what combination of renewables suits a particular business application, household or building infrastructure development.
We are a team of scientists and engineers with multiple years of experience in geothermal concepts, HVAC and teaching. We conceptualise to combine multiple sources of renewable energy to develop low carbon emission solutions for various energy requirement problems.
